TREES NOW is a division of Destito & Co. Owner and president, Nick Destito has been dedicated to the health and preservation of trees since the early 80’s. Nick is a U Mass Stockbridge graduate, and a Massachusetts certified Arborist. We are members of the MASS Arborists Association, Rhode Island Nurseries and Landscape Association, TCIA (Voice of Tree Care) and Mass Tree Wardens Association. He has applied his education and experience towards a career of maintaining and preserving one of our planets key resources….trees! In 1984, Nick decided to “narrow” the focus of his work from a broader array of tree related services to the more specific charter of planting and transplanting large, mature trees.

TREES NOW concentrates all of its human and material resources on providing the Landscape Industry with large tree moving and planting services. We are one of the leading authorities on tree planting and moving in Southeastern Mass and Rhode Island. We have provided services for many local and as well as some national General Contractors. We consistently work with Site Contractors, Builders, Developers, and Federal, State and Local Municipal Agencies. We also do an increasing amount of work for homeowners who have become aware of the potential of large tree planting and transplanting.

We are not in competition with traditional tree services; we view ourselves as valued partners with tree and landscape services. Sure there are many obvious reasons to trim, prune, cut back and remove trees. But there are equally compelling reasons to save quality trees as well as plant replacement trees. This is where we can help conventional trees service providers by successfully moving existing trees or planting mature replacement trees.
We believe that we can add additional value to the services they are already providing to their Clients!  

We have performed projects on commercial, industrial, and retail distribution centers, hotels, churches, golf courses and many residential locations. We are fully insured.

We specialize in furnishing, planting and transplanting mature trees. We have a 20 Acre tree farm and can provide you with ornamental, deciduous as well as evergreen trees from 4 to 12” calipers (inches). We have several TREE SPADES that we to choose from based on the size of the tree and the site. We can move trees up to 12 calipers (inches) in diameter and up to thirty feet tall can be moved using our ninety-inch tree spade and experienced crew. Our largest Spade is a “Big John® 90”, one of only a very few 90" tree spades in the area. Our tree spades move a large solid root ball, and that means less maintenance and minimal transplant shock to the tree and your investment. Our experienced staff can also manually "hand dig" and relocate plant material as required for your “special” project.

We have extensive experience moving large, mature trees and always strive for 100% success rate. We also provide a series of light excavation services and site work with our Bobcat, Backhoe, Front End loader and dump trucks. Our Crews provide these services as “stand alone” jobs or in conjunction with landscape projects, tree planting and transplanting. We also collect fine specimen trees and large shrubs including the rare and unusual. YES, WE BUY TREES! Many of our clients have been burdened with fine specimen trees that were, unfortunately, originally planted either too close to each other and/or too close to their house or other out buildings. Now that they have matured they are either “crowding” each other or encroaching on the buildings. Sure these customers could pay to cut and remove these beautiful trees, then have the stump dug up by a backhoe and the hole filled or grind the stump! Yet they chose to preserve the tree and let it continue to contribute to the beauty of the landscape and contribute to the environment.
