YOU no longer need to settle for small foundation and landscape plants. Small or inappropriate landscape plants can diminish the value and appearance of a new or existing home/ addition.

YOU can add more value and add a more or totally established look to your property, grounds and landscape by planting or transplanting large more mature trees!

YOU also do not have to live with perfectly wonderful existing trees that are too close to each other…or too close to your house or out buildings. They can be moved.

YOU do have an alternative from costly and disruptive “cut and kill” tree removal. Put down the phone book, shut off the chain saw and stop the bulldozers. Let’s take a moment and consider the possibilities that TREES NOW offers.

NICK DESTITO, owner and president, named this division of the company 20 years ago to simply describe the wonders and possibilities that can occur when one considers preserving and enjoying large, mature, established trees….NOW! Why wait for small plants to mature?

TREES NOW can provide a very cost effective and potentially much more satisfying solution to these very common concerns. TREES NOW can save you the expense and frustration of having to wait years and decades for your small starter plants to “grow up”. TREES NOW can spare you the agony of cutting down your existing trees. TREES NOW can often purchase that over grown out of place tree that just can’t fit anywhere else on your property, allowing it to continue to live and contribute to our natural environment.

YES, THERE ARE MANY REASONS TO PLANT
or TRANSPLANT LARGE MATURE TREES
.

Don't Under Estimate the Value of Trees! Everybody loves the beauty that trees provide to our landscape and environment! They are also one of the most sought after amenities to real estate. We often times hear home owners say, "I bought this house for the beautiful trees” but look at them now. Trees are and can be a significant buying or selling feature of a home. High quality trees and appropriate landscaping can represent as much as 10 to 19 percent of the value of property.

The value of trees goes even beyond the substantial financial aspect. Trees may offer shade to homes and their residents. A row of well placed trees can reduce the impact of sun, wind and snow thus reducing energy consumption up to as much as 30 percent!! Trees play a significant role in reducing air and water pollution. A tree's extensive root system holds soil and reduces erosion. Trees foliage acts as filters, absorbing both solid and gaseous particulates. These particulates include such pollutants as ozone, carbon dioxide, chlorine, sulfur dioxide and others. Of course, trees also give off oxygen as a by product of photosynthesis. We all worry so much worry about global warming, erosion of the ozone layer, and devastation to the rain and natural forests! THERE is something we all can do….Preserve our trees!!

Trees also provide a habitat for birds and wildlife. Very little can replace the beauty and serenity of songbirds greeting and treating our senses as awake in the morning and spend the day enjoying our yards. There is much written about the impact that trees can have on our emotional and physical well-being.

Once you have decided WHY you want to Plant or transplant, you must decide WHAT you want to plant. There are resources within our website that can help you make that decision…or….TREES NOW will be glad to help you select the tree, plan the site and do the planting.

THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING TO BUY AND PLANT or TRANSPLANT MATURE TREES

  • It is important that you fit the tree to the site and application:

  • What is the tree species mature height?

  • You must be aware of what the trees size/ height and shape will be at full maturity. This will ensure that it fits the area and does not encroach on other trees or buildings.

  • What are its soil requirements, does it require wet or dry site?

  • Does it require a shady or sunny sight or a blend of both?

  • You must also be aware of the mature root system (top 6 -18”) and often out-to-branch drip line. This will ensure that the roots are not starved or cause cracks under paved areas, walkways and sidewalks.

  • Are there any Spring/Fall bloom and color considerations?

  • Be aware of the fall leaf shed, especially around walkways, steps and handicap access areas.

* Adding Ceremony to the milestones in our lives, Memorials and Dedications

Whether for the birth of a child, or a grandchild. Or as a remembrance for the unfortunate passing of a loved-one, or even a pet. It could be for the grand opening of the new wing to a hospital or school, park or playground….nothing makes a bigger impact than installing a large tree!

Why have your name on a wall, when you could donate a living specimen that will add to the beauty of the site, year-round. You won’t have to search along a wall or walk way for your name when you visit the site, your tree will be visible and admired by everyone. The best part of using a tree for a dedication or memorial is that you decide what type of tree you would like and in some cases where the tree could go. Add a plaque, to the base of the tree, with an explanation why the tree has been dedicated or to whom it is memorializing, for a nice final touch. The tree will last a lifetime and it will grow right along with the memories.

As you can see there are many, many practical as well as spiritual reasons to plant or transplant a large tree. TREES NOW will make this a memorable, enjoyable and affordable event.
